Hotkey &
Banking sw.txt
- A
definate problem exists with banking software and hotkey
installations. -
Hotkey stops working.
- Error network socket creation failed.
- The windows file winsock.gll gets corrupted to such an
- extent, it has to be removed.
- Not only that but all tcp/ip addressing must be removed.
- The machine reset, tcp/ip readded..
- Then a non corrupt winsock.dll must be found and copied
into the windows
directory.
- This avoids a full windows reload ..
Socket
Creation.txt
- Network
socket creation error, A complaint is that this error
develops when a win98 machine has version6 hotkey installed
eventually this error surfaces..
- On some installations upgrading hotkey dose not solve the
problem, the result is a corrupt windows file winsock.dll.
- The only current fix is to remove all tcp/ip addressing
reset the computer, add tcp/ip => delete winsock.dll => copy
a known working winsock.dll from an equivalent w windows
machine test.
- It may be necessary to remove the networking card manually
and reinstall. Start Menu Bug.txt A complaint about an older
version of hotkey i.e win 3.11/3.1 version run on win 95 or
win 99..
- The start menu bar data becomes corrupt. Solution delete
old version load the latest version of hotkey to solve the
problem.
